Lil Crab!

Here is my final project for My Little Shoebox for the month! These photos are so old...but I have been waiting to scrap them for awhile!!! Kennedy was 2.5 on our trip to Florida! A crab wandered up to our towels on the beach and we females were squealing! We were hoping it would just crawl away. But Jeff was determined to catch it! So he chased and chased it and did end up getting it! He showed Kennedy but she wasn't so sure of it!!! I don't blame her!

I used the round paper and cut slits along some of the edges. I then slid the pink paper and green strips underneath. I cut out many of the little clouds and pop dotted them. I also used the overlay clouds and layered them with paper.

The title in the fun chipboard letters is on a die cut and I added Stickles around the edge. I also added Stickles to the circluar paper.
Thanks for checking in! I will have the My Little Shoebox November projects to share soon!!!!

Random Moments...

ETA*** I totally just realized I posted this on the wrong blog! It belongs on my personal blog, but I think I will leave it here too! ;)

Just recording a memory I don't want to forget!!!! :)

Sept 29, 2009

Kennedy and I are driving down the street listening to Brandon Heath's "Give Me You Eyes," It is a gorgeous day - completely clear, blue skies. Out of the blue, Kennedy points to the sky with a huge smile and says "Sammy's up there!"

"He is?!" I respond.

"Is that where Heaven is?" I ask.

"Yea. I'm pointing to the sky!" she laughs, just in case I can't see her finger pointing upward.

"What do you think he is doing?" I ask.

"I don't know. I think he is swimming!!" she happily chirps.

"Oh fun!" I add, with joy so great it almost bursts my heart.

**Giggles*** heard from back seat.

MLS & Izzy!!!

Here is my next layout using the Sky's the Limit line from My Little Shoebox!!! It features our sweet pup, Isabel. I love this photo of her - she looks like she is laughing!!!!

I cut out the little houses from the patterned paper and pop dotted them on top of another piece of the same paper.

Above, I used the awesome chipboard for the title, cut a circular die cut in half and journaled on it, and added a pop dotted heart die cut.

I cut out the clouds and pop dotted them on the same piece of paper again! I just love the 3-D effect!

Thanks for taking a peek! Check back in for more soon!!!!

Sky's The Limit

This month I got to play with the Sky's the Limit line from My Little Shoebox! I love the muted colors!

The light blues and the clouds were a delight to play with!!!! For this layout I cut the blue circular paper off center. I cut out clouds and pop-dotted them. I used the fun glitter stickers for the title.

Aren't my grandparents the cutest couple??

Next is a fun little card! I love the little houses in this line so I decided to make a "Congrats" card for a new home owner!!!! I hand cut the houses and clouds and pop-doted them. I placed them on a funky die cut, added the glitter sticker title and wrapped around some twine!!!!

The sentiment is on the back - it is a flat card! I cut out another house, used a die cut and placed the awesome tiny alphas inside it!Hope you enjoyed! I will be back soon with more projects with this line!

My Little Shoebox Goodies!

Time to share my latest My Little Shoebox projects!!!! This last month I used the line "In Bloom." I loved the blues, purples and pinks...and the fun flowers!!!!!

For this first one I pulled out the yellow in Kennedy's dress and the pink in her bag. This was her on the first day of Summer School! I didn't get a good shot of her looking at the camera so these will have to do! I used the glitter alphas on the die cut tag, along with the chipboard alphas.

The second layout is of Kennedy and her cousin, Ava. They were in the same room talking via phone! So cute!!! I had fun layering the flowers that I cut out of the patterned paper. And I am so loving the chipboard alphas.

This layout is of Kennedy and her Aunt Lindsay doing sidewalk chalk on the driveway! Again, I cute out the large flowers and layered them!

More projects will be coming soon. MLS paired with Hero Arts so I have some fun stamping to show!
Have a great day!
