Nutty Girls

Time to show you more My Little Shoebox!!!! This is another layout I created with the Imagine a Forest line. YUM! The designers were challenged to scraplift another DT member this month - Michelle Lanning! You can see the layout I was to lift HERE.

My take was a little different. I used the circle paper and included a photo strip rather than one photo. I did keep the quilting feel to it but cutting lots of little rectangles and sewing each one individually. (I was watching Cake Boss on TLC while I made this!)

I love the little squirrels - and I even incorporated the big squirrel overlay!

This was my final layout with Imagine a Forest!!
I did lots of layering -and even some hand stitching in green and pink. (though it is really hard to see).

Thanks for taking a peek! I recently made some baby items for Simply Renee and am working on a joint project with My Little Shoebox, Shimmerz and Clear Scraps! So stayed tuned for more!

I created the card below for a dear, dear friend. She lost her third baby this week. I am so thankful she has been my friend and that I have someone to share my walk through grief. But I am just heartbroken for her and her family. Their faith is strong and they will make it through this, but any and all prayers are appreciated.

I am thankful I was able to work with Layers of Color as a Guest Designer! The cross stamps are from them and can be found here!

Sky High

Just a quick post today!!!!
Here is my latest from My Little Shoebox using the Imagine a Forest line! I paired it with scalloped Bazzill this time! The greens went together so perfectly!

I have been loving to cut out my patterned paper and layer it! :) Love this look!

Just had to document when Kennedy was able to "pump" on the swings! She was so proud of herself!!!!

Layers of Color & Fun News!

Didn't I tell you I was in an altering mood?? Well, I did a fast altering project this week! I was running out of room in my current journal I use for church. I had purchased an alterable journal at Archivers months ago, just knowing I was going to use it for this purpose eventually!

I used one of the crosses from Layers of Color's Gothic Crosses set. I love them all!!! But for this I chose one of the larger ones. I used some of my all time favorite My Mind's Eye papers as well as some Doodlebug letter stickers and October Afternoon rub ons. Don't forget that Layers of Color is having a HUGE Release Party November 14-15! You can find out more details HERE!

I also have some fun scrappy news to share!!! I have been selected to work with some amazing scrappers as contributing artists to Pam Callaghan's blog Ideas for Scrapbookers! You can see the announcement HERE! The other artists are:
Delaina Burns
Heather Landry
Julie Howard
Melanie Holzwarth
Sarah De Guzman
Susan Goetter

Don't forget to become a follower of the blog to see our latest work!!!!

Halloween Crafts with Kennedy

For pretty much any and every hoilday, Kennedy and I create some sort of craft. This year, she was really into glitter!!!!
We were looking through some Martha Stewart projects and were inspired to create this glittery pumpkin face in a frame. We cute out the pieces from chipboard, modge podged them and the dumped tons of glitter on top!

But she couldn't stop there! We had a wooden cat that never was used from alst year. So Kenendy decided she wanted to glitter it up as well! By the end of the craft time, there was glitter everywhere!!!!! And there still is! Do you know how hard it is to get up crystal fine glitter from your floors??! ;)

I am so glad my daughter has a heart for crafting like I do! ;)

My next project came from the amazingly talented Linda Albrecht! You can check out her "Pumpkin Head" here!

I had fun making this project. In fact, Kennedy helped me some! She picked out the pumpkin head with me nd even painted the inside of the basket black for me! I am constantly inpsired by the fabulous Miss Linda - I am so glad I finally tried one of her projects. I have been in the altering mood for sure now! However, I need to work on my glue gun skills! I went a little wild and overdid some. ;)

Also, I have fun scrappy news to share! I have been asked to join the DT at The Sampler Kit Club! You can see the announcement HERE! Soon I will have some great projects to share from their inagural kit!

Imagine a Forest

Seriously, I can't decide! I keep changing my mind! When all the new My Little Shoebox releases came out this summer, I thought they were all amazing1 Then, I got to work with Little Lady first. I was enamored! The adorable little girls, the mushrooms, the colors....I that that was my favorite! But next I used Robots Unplugged and I couldn't get enough of the robots!!! After that came In Bloom. Oh how I loved cutting out all those little (and big) flowers! Yet, I changed my mind again when I worked with Sky's the Limit! The soft blues and yellows were so calming and serene!

But this month, THIS month, I really think I have found my favorite line! For November I was able to work with Imagine a Forest! Oh goodness me! Just wait until you see the cuteness!!! But for now, this simply little card and matching envie will have to do! (Can you tell I love the little trees?!?!)
