Birds of a Feather

My last post of 2009! CRAZY!!!!

I want to share my latest work with My Little Shoebox! I love these owls and birds and houses - what a whimsical line!

I layered 2 die cuts for the title and used the glittered alphas.

I added some Stickles to the chipboard letters, hand cut the birds, owls, and trees and pop dotted them. Plus, can you see the glittery eyes? I added Stickles there as well!
Final project! Kennedy and her old daycare friend, Jada!!!
Have a very Happy New Year and I will see you in 2010!!

Merry Christmas!

I got my wish!!! A white Christmas!!!! We have a lot of snow on the ground this morning! The dogs and I went walking and it was quite the workout walking through the drifts!!! And the wind is still blowing fiercely!! But we are toasty warm by the fire and I am sipping my coffee! What a fabulous morning1 (btw, it is 8:30am and Kennedy is still sleeping!!)

So, I will leave you today with Kennedy's visit to Santa this year! She was sooo ready to see him and not scared at all! But she did get a little stage fright while on his lap! ;) I don't think she ever told him what she wanted - good thing she had written her list before hand to give to him!!

This layout was created with the December kit from The Sampler.
Cardstock is Core'dinations....see how I sanded the brown to let the pink show through along the edges? The Hambly gold rub ons were a blast - I just layered them and put them wherever I felt like!

Yummy Prima flower, Martha Stewart punch, Elle's Studio Happy Holidays ,Creative Imaginations flocked paper..... yum!
I think I have already mentioned how much I love these glittered alphas, right?! ;)

I hope you and yours have a wonderful holiday! Glory to Jesus, the newborn king!!!!!

More from The Sampler

It is time to reveal my take on challenge #2 at The Sampler! The challenge was to do something around the nature theme. And I had just the right photo for it!!!

Love this photo of Kennedy AND I love the memory of that family nature walk!!

Loving the teal bling and rockin' flowers!!!!!

This kit did an awesome job of mixing colors and patterns, as well as textures!
And another shot of all the yummy goodies! glittered chipboard, rub ons, basic grey, pink paislee, webster's pages, and more!!!!!!

Thanks for taking a peek!!!!!

I am ready to share my first creation with the debut kit from THE SAMPLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This kit is AMaZiNg!!!!!!

Our first challenge was to create a layout using 5 photos! So here is my take on it! I have scrapped a few photos from this day before, but they are so darn silly I had to scrap them again!!! Kennedy and Taylor have become SUCH good friends - I guess starting off their first playdate covered in mud was magical! ;)

I used packaging for the journaling! The green piece is actually some Prima packaging! I loved the shape it was in, the color and the floral border!!!! And aren't those mini alphas cute?!

Gotta love the cute little stamp!!!

Delicious chipboard letters!!!! Those flowers are amazing - and the leaves are now on my wish list! I need more! You can't see much of it, but there is a vintage book page under the flower. I added some Tattered Angels spray, crumpled it up, laid it back out and inked parts!
I have lots more projects using this kit coming up!!!!!! Check back later!!!!

Snowman Decor

Oh, and I realize this won't mean much to many of you, but I am tickled anyway! This project has been in the top 10 view and top 10 votes at 2 Peas in a Bucket for the past 2 days! That is pretty fun for me!

I will be back soon with some projects from the first ever kit from Sampler Kits!!!!
