The Sampler Summer Challenge

As promised, here is my layout for the monthly challenge at The Sampler!!!!

I have never worked with TPC Studio products before this kit. And I think I might be in love! The bright colors were soooo fun!!!! I loved the papers - you have to feel them - awesome! The sticker sheets totally rock! I need to find a place locally that carries this company!

I used a variety of letter stickers...Pink Paislee, Thickers.....

I hand cut the paisley prints from the paper to try to mimic the look of splashing water! Then

I used 3D adhesive to make them pop!

I often struggle to find a good journaling spot because I add so many embellishments! I find that journaling along the border of the page works for me quite often!

I added some buttons and fun, colorful gems to top it off!!!!

2 Cards

Just wanted to share the last 2 cards I created!

This first one was made using the May kit from The Sampler. I sanded the butterlies on the Core'dinations cardstock and used a punch for the black borders. The script paper is by 7 Gypsies. I used my own stamp on the journaling card. The lace and button come in the kit too!

Just a shot of the inside. Again, the stamp is from my own stamp.

And the back....you can see the cool butterflies in the cardstock!

This second card was created using the Just Add Butter line from My Little Shoebox. I thought it made a cute little Mother's Day card!! I handcut the teapot and cupcake from the paper. The pink wave on the bottom and green polka dots are die cuts.

This is the inside. Another hand cut cupcake! The die cut and mini stickers are My Little Shoebox too!

The Sampler May Kit

The May kit from The Sampler was packed with lots of goodies again this month! This mini album that is included holds so many possibilities! I created it to hold important birthdays, anniversaries and other dates. It was a gift for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day.


I decided to go with the vintage theme since there were so many fun 7 Gyspies products!!! I also used a journaling blog stamp I already owned and added some stickers from my personal stash.

I ended up using cardstock from my own stash as well - to create space for her to write all the names and dates.
But I did end up using each and every 7 Gypsies journaling card and every in of 7 Gypsies paper!
I can't wait to see what the other design team members created with May's kit!!!!!

Lil Monster

I wanted to share my latest project using My Little Shoebox! The line is called Imaginary Friends and I love it! The colors are right up my alley! I decided to create a little project board for my cousin, Kay. It features her little guy, Owen! Itsn't he the cutest?! So, surprise Kay! You will get it at the baby shower next week!!!


I started by painting the board a butter yellow to match the line. Then I cut squares for each square. From there I just embellished to my heart's content! It was sooooo fun!!! Don't you just love the little bird in the corner?! I added a googly eye just for fun!

What a sweet face Owen has!

These little critters/monsters are so versatile! And of course the MLS chipboard is a favorite of mine!
