This first shot is just for family!!! Kennedy out in the ICE!!!!!
Alright ladies!!! I tried your advice on setting for these! But unfortunately I only have the Rebel kit lens and it just doesn't quite do what I want it to! But this is what I got....I would love critiques - you can be harsh too!!!

Photo Critique!!!

I just posted some photos for my photo group to comment on!!!

1) I really struggle with indoor shots. Our house doesn't have the best lighting. Any suggestions on how to light up her eyes?

2) A bunch of photos of our ice storm this week. ANY feedback is appreciated!!!!

3) This is more for my family! Kennedy eating ice cream in front of our tree!!! :)

4) And Kennedy with Santa! This was taken in an elementary school gymnasium so you can imagine the lighting was LESS than ideal. I did what I could!!!!

Thanks gals! I will be back with more soon!

1st haircut and Holiday Portrait

So - what do you think?! The photo is one we got last night of Miss Kennedy! We went to Portrait Innovations to get her holiday shots done! Of course the best photo ended up being one that didn't have the holiday background! But I don't care! She looks so grown up to me! (The above photo is a scan of the original - so it is pretty muted!)

Last week we took Kennedy to get her FIRST HAIRCUT EVER!!!! Yes, she is 32 months and we had NEVER cut her hair! Not once! So we decided to make a big deal out of it and we took her to a place called Shear Madness! It was such a cool place!!!! It is specifically for kids - tons of fun things to look at and bright colors and fun music! Instead of sitting in seats the kids choose a car to sit in (or jeep or truck, etc) Kennedy chose a 1950's inspired teal car!!!! They have individual TV screens for them as well with a variety of movies to choose from. Kennedy chose to watch "Thomas the Train." She was so good through the whole thing - fully cooperative!!!

Here is a before shot! (Really, she was happy!)

Midway through the hair cut! In full driving mode!

And afterward! She is checking herself out in the mirror!!!!

We just took the dead ends off so the length isn't too different! Even though I can tell!!!

Below are two card that I am really happy with. They both appeared in the November issue of CARDS magazine. :)

Have a great week!!!

Some layouts and photos!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Ihope you all did too!!! We had 2 Thanksgiving dinners - YUM!! Then Grandma and Papa Randy came for a quick visit. We did lots and lots of reading of course! Kennedy loves for us to read her a book and then she says "My tuhn to weed!" And she rereads it to us with her own little twists! I just love it!
We also went to Crown Center and some other fun shops to get some holiday ideas for Kennedy. While at Crown Center Kennedy spots the walking snowman and ran RIGHT over to it! Then she turned around to pose for a photo!! Boy I have her trained!!
And I finally had Jeff take some photos of me - the pregnant me! I am almost 6 months along....and HUGE!!!!
I also wanted to share a few layouts! I have been holding this one back in the hopes it would be picked up for publication but after about 4 months I give up!! So now I can share it!

And the next one is just kind of fun! I used tulle on it to try to give it a girly, princess feel!!!

Well, we are off to get Miss Kennedy's hair cut tonight!!! I am sure I will have to share with you next time!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know we did! We had TWO Thanksgiving dinners! YUM! And we learned that Kennedy LOVES pumpkin pie!

I got some more good scrappy news this week! I was chosen for the design team at Card Studio Designs!!! I am so thrilled to be working with the talented Janelle Richmond!!! The site is brand new so we are still working out kinks and getting sponsors lined up. But watch for new things in the next few months! The card below is one I made for them!

Last Friday Kennedy got to spend the night at MeMa's house while Daddy and Mommy went out with a group from church! Can you tell she is excited to go!?
The next set of photos are so fun if you have ever heard Kennedy sing! She has a book that is a version of "If You're Happy and You Know It." She loves to sing and do the actions along with it! So just try to imagine her singing! (And HERE is a link to her beloved book!)

Monday the weather was FABULOUS!!!!! In the 70s!!! So we just had to play outside when we got home! Kennedy was trying to get a bug to crawl up on her hands!!!! It never worked but she tried for a long time!

Then she was playing behind the big pine tree up by the house. She ran into a spider web and this is the face she gave me! So she can touch bugs but not spider webs I guess!

Wednesday we got snow! Kennedy and I were at the mall and when we left it was a huge surprise to see snow! She was a bit confused at first "Mommy , is it raining?" I told her it was snow and as soon as we got into the car she announced 'Mommy - its winter!!!!" We got home and she had to run and tell Daddy right away that it was winter, too! :)

That's all for know!!! Have a fab week everyone!

Quick Post!

Just a super quick post this time!!!
We had a super busy weekend last weekend. The photos of Kennedy crying show that we had kept her out and about tooo long! We were looking for a "big girl" bed for her and she was past nap time! Am I a bad mom for posting photos of my crying babe?!
Later that night we went out to search again and ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise. You can see Kennedy was REALLY getting into the music and had to dance a little at the booth!!! (We still don't have a bed)

The weather has really been so nice - such a mild fall! Most of our leaves have fallen so Kennedy and I went out to play in them last week! She loved helping me rake with her mini rake! And of course we all had to jump in the leaves - even Izzie! And she loved when I buried her!
(you can always click on the photo to enlarge it!)

I had our 24 week appt this week. All looks good. Baby is measuring on track, heart beat is good and I am up 7 lbs total. People keep telling me I look big and ask if I am sure it isn't twins! But my doc assures me everything is measuring perfect for ONE baby! This lil bugger is a lot like his/her sister - CONSTANTLY moving! I am getting poked and prodded a lot! Gotta love that feeling!

In scrappy news I had a card picked up for an article in an upcoming issue of Scrapbook Trends! I was very excited! The only bad thing was that I had already given the card to my dad and his wife!!! So they are going to mail it to the magazine for me! LOL! THANKS DAD!

Jeff and I are trying to "unclutter" the house! Last weekend we went through our closets and cleared out 4 huge trash bags of clothes and old towels! GEESH! Jeff moved a bunch of stuff from our garage attic to our office room attic. That was a big job! So we are freeing up a little space in the garage attic to replace with more stuff! LOL! But we want to have everything in order before baby #2 comes!

Hope to blog again soon with more photos of the week! Take care all!!!

Iowa Trip & a Hybrid Holiday Planner

Not much scrapping for me lately. But I did get this fun little hybrid planner done! I was asked to design it for Jenna Nelson - her digi kit debuts today at DragonFlaireStudios! Go check it out!

At the beginning of the month we made a trip to Iowa for the yearly K-STATE v IOWA STATE game! Whenever it is in Iowa we meet my family and all attend the game! This year dad and Ryan got an ISU tent for tailgaiting!! Here we are setting up!

The weather cooperated fully and we got some delicious food thanks to Ryan and Lindsay! The Cyclones clobbered the Wildcats which we totally unexpected! But poor Jeff was a great sport about losing! ;) Thanks for the fun weekend Dad, Jodie, Ry and Lindsay!

We also celebrated Papa Doug's birthday! Yum Yum - gotta love Ice Cream Cake!!!
We also got to see the other set of grandparents and great grandparents. Here Kennedy is playing Doctor with Grandma Lori!!!

And I just have to include this silly photo of the dogs! Izzie is ours on is on the left. Bodie is Ry and Lindsay's. They both tried to share one seat! TOO funny!

Our computer seems to have crashed and we are starting to freak a little! We are hoping to have it looked at tomorrow. But I am itching to play with my photos. All the photos in this post are non-edited! Oh the horror! LOL!!!

Scrapbook news wise it was a good week last week. I got to see the November issue of CARDS magazine where I have 3 cards!!! :) And I had a layout picked up by Scrapbook Trends for their Embellish It Idea Book! It is one of my favorite layouts of Uncle Ryan and Kennedy!
