Things are a changin!!

Oh my! Nesting mode has hit me HARD!!! I have torn the 2 bedrooms upstairs apart and am "kinda freaking out" according to my husband!! I didn't nest like this with Kennedy so it has taken us both by surprise!!!

But first, here is my latest card. I am pretty pleased with it! I am loving the Making Memories Noteworthy line!
And I just have to share this rather creepy photo of Kennedy. Over the last few weeks she has been into making this face. And she even wants to do it to Jeff and my faces! She said "You're eyes are bleeding!!!" Where she picked this up I have no idea!!!!!
Also, I have gotten out all the old infant onesies and jammies Kennedy used to wear and washed them! Oh memories!! I also got a few new onesies and made a few cute lil shirts. Just used some fun iron ons! You can see them below! I hope they are gender neutral enough for either sex!!!

And I got a "little" crafty! I sewed some buttons on Kennedy's shirt in the shape of a heart! I know, I know...not very impressive - but I was proud of myself anyway!!!!
And some of you have been asking to see photos of Kennedy's new big girl room! It is still definitely a work in progrees but here are a few peeks.
The dresser below is identical to mine as a kid...we just used pink knobs instead!!!
I bought lots of organizational stuff for her closet! I love organizers! These pink and green ones match her walls perfectly!!!
And here is a shot of one of her walls and her new sheets. We hand painted the scallops! The Princess is a rub on I found at Target! Love Target! And I am in love with her polka dot sheets! She has the matching duvet cover but her comforter is being dry cleaned right now. What do you think???
Just over a week until our new little one joins us! Hard to believe we will soon be a family of four!!!

SuperStar!!!

Kennedy sure thinks she is a super star!!! As of late she has wanted to perform nightly! And we happily oblige her!!! Below she was singing and dancing with her karoke machine for Papa Lou! She was singing to Ralph's World - and the girl knows every stinkin' word!!!!

Speaking of Ralph's World...here is a layout I did about Kennedy's concert experience!!!

On Sunday, MiMa brought over Daddy's old trumpet! Kennedy knew what it was right away and was WAY excited to try it! It took only 2 days for her to figure out how to blow correctly to produce a REAL trumpet sound! I was quite impressed!

Our kitchen is on phase 2 of remodeling.....here are some peeks!!!! LOL!

I do have some small fun scrappy news to share! This is copied straight from the Zest Blog:

At Lime Tart we don’t like to endlessly taunt and tease with our new and upcoming products. Our sneak peeks are normally not so sneaky. But, I am sorry to say that this time around we are just so excited that we are bursting at the seams and simply must tell you about our newest kit about to hit the site for purchasing.
We’d like to introduce you to our new Lemon Myrtle Tart!
Lemon Myrtle is a native Australian tree with clusters of creamy, white flowers and strong lemon scented leaves. Its leaves are used to add a citrus flavour to both sweet and savoury food products. It’s the perfect name for our newest addition.
So exactly what ingredients will be in our Lemon Myrtle Tart? Why all things Australian of course! This Tart is going to be a generous assortment of embellishments, stamps, chipboard, flowers and many more things created or designed by Australian companies and artists.
We have some wonderful guest designers coming on board to create with our new kits. The following list of people were selected from our latest design team call and we look forward to them joining us in the very near future to see the fabulous blends they produce with the luscious Lemon Myrtle Tart!

A tag....

I was tagged by my friend Molly....so here goes!!

A. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
B. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
C. At the end of the game the player tags 5 people, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment letting them know they've been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Where were you 10 years ago:
It was my junior year in college so I was in Ames, IA. Still living in the sorority (Kappa Delta) Taking lots of classes. Working as a tutor, as an assistant in an educational research center and as an assistant to my pysch professor.

Five things on my to-do list today:
1. Get gas.
2. Go to the post office.
3. Grade about 60 Spanish tests.
4. Finish bagging our Valentine's goodies.
5. Do laundry.

Five snacks I enjoy:
1. apple cider
2. hot cocoa
3. cheese sticks
4. ice cream
5. cereal

What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire:
I would pay off our debt, help my family with medical bills and debt, buy us all new homes and land, plan a huge vacation for us all, give a bunch to my favorite charities and relax!

Four of my bad habits:
1. Procastination
2. Picking at my fingernails
3. Snacking when I am not really hungry
4. Rolling my eyes

Five jobs that I have had:
1. Spanish teacher (jr high and high school)
2. Gymnastics coach
3. Pool manager
4. Lifeguard
5. Retail sales

Five things people don't know about me:
1. I hate my toes - I mean REALLY hate them. Actually my feet in general.
2. I am painfully shy in new social settings and situations.
3. I wish I was a SAHM. (well, some people know that!)
4. I studied in Spain for a summer.
5. I abhor talking on the phone. I am almost scared of it!

Now I must tag 5 people! I tag....

1. Ashley
2. Monica
3. Charley

Holsapple Look-alike Meter

So, I have been blog hopping and ran across some fun things!!! Thanks Dana and Emilie!

EVERYONE always comments on how Kennedy looks more like me than Jeff. Well, I guess you were all wrong!!!!!

I thought this name meaning one was interesting.....I think some of it is true but some isn't!

What Jeffrey Means

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries. You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings. You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun.Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them.
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something. You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense. You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

What Kennedy Means

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life. You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality. You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising. You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

What Danielle Means

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality. You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection. You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive. You have the classic "Type A" personality. You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people. You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts. You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals. You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start. You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together. You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow. You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

Also, here are a few new scrappy things!

Around our home....

Well, if you were a fly on a wall in our house, these are some things you would have seen over the past week or so.....
My belly growing, and growing and growing.......
We are now 7 weeks from the C-Section!!!
(and don't mind the remote shutter in my hand! I need to learn how to hide it better!)
My scrappy room a total mess!!!!! But I did create this layout!
Kennedy enjoying her fishing game she got for Christmas. This game was hard for Jeff and I the first time! But Kennedy is sooo stubborn and persistent she just keeps at it until she gets it!

We "adopted" a fish over the holidays. It was Aunt Kate's Beta named Fred. But they got a new cat that was a little too interested in the fish! So Fred is now ours. And Kennedy loves to feed it at night!
And of course the kitchen.....phew - it has been a project! And it still isn't done. But our friend Roger made us new concrete countertops!! They are gorgeous but were a pain for the guys to install! So here is what our kitchen looked like for a while!!
This was Kennedy trying to peek at the guys working!!!!
And supplies.....EVERYWHERE!!!!
The countertops are in! But we are still picking a backsplash.

And this weekend we started painting the room that will become Kennedy's big girl room! Three of the walls are pink and one is green. She has informed us "I don't like pink. I like green." Even though for the last 4 months or so everything she has chosen has been pink! AAHHH!! I hope she gets over it and learns to love the pink!

Scrappy Stuff!!!!!!!

Hi all!!!

Just want to share some of my latest creations...it has been so long since I shared anything scrappy!!

I had a blast making this card with ribbon, fiber, glitter and lots of stitching!

And this layout was a fluke! I recently stubmled upon a photos of myself at age 2 climbing on a jungle gym. I immediately thought of a similar photo of Kennedy! I knew I had to scrap them together! And I loved using the MM Noteworthy line!

This was one of my favorite cards I did over the holidays....delicious Scenic Route goodies galore!

And I used more Scenic Route yumminess on this cute one of Miss Kennedy! What a cutie she was (and still is of course!)

This card was created with the January kit at More Than Scrapbooking. I don't work with BoBunny much so I really enjoyed these papers! And the card is based of a Becky Fleck sketch for the Caardvarks Blog!

Thanks for taking a peek!
