More My Little Shoebox for June

June is coming to a close....hard to believe. So I thought I better share the rest of my June creations for My Little Shoebox before July hits!!

***

This first one is about a conversation I had with Kennedy about her dear brother, Sam. It was sweet, and tender and broke my heart....but I want to remember it forever....

I loved cutting out all the fun circles and owls in the patterned paper! And I love the funky, bright colors!!

***

I absolutely adore the round papers from My Little Shoebox! There is just something about shaped paper that sparks my creativity! For this layout I used a blurry, not so perfect photo of Kennedy and I - but we so rarely get our photo taken together I wanted to document it! I again had fun cutting up my patterned paper and layering it with the MLS sheer overlays and cardstock!

***
And finally, a layout about Jeff and our dog, Copper! This dog is BIG but thinks he is a lap/cuddly dog! He will sit and lay all over you! The distressing on this layout was really fun to do!

***

Also, we have unveiled the new lines that My Little Shoebox will be debuting next month at CHA! So I will be back shortly to share them all with you! I know you will love them!

Have a Blessed Day!

Kraft Girls!!!!

I am finally uploading the rest of my creations with the June kit over at Kraft Girl Kits!!!! YUM!

On this layout I used the chipboard bracket in the kit under my title. I inked it orange. Then applied some Modge Podge and dumped lots of white glitter on it!

All my local scrappy friends know about my love of buttons!

And the entire layout. The photos were taken this May.
**********************

I had a hard time photographing this layout and getting the true colors right. I promise you the IRL image is much better!!!!

These photos are so old but I just adore them! Kennedy and her cousin - they only get to see each other once or twice a year.

********************

The ribbon that Pam included in this kit was to die for! I used every last bit of it!!!!

I hand cut my own little fish to carry on with the fish theme! Then used 3D adhesive to give it a lil umph!
Again, the colors in the layout go so well together in real life!

Hope you have a great week!!!
Blessings!

Owls anyone????

I am just loving the little owl craze that has been in the scrapbook markets lately! And this month my creations are full of little owls!!!!

The awesome line I am currently creating with for My Little Shoebox is called "Who's There." And one of the brand new stamps sets from SU Ink that debuted this month is called "You're a Hoot." AndI have to give a shout out to Core'dinations Cardstock who partnered with the MLS DT this month! I am loving the Antique Collection!!! Care to see how the fun I had with these rockin' projects all together?!?!
**************

CARD: Love the look and texture of this cardstock...seriously! I cut out the little birds and yellow circles from patterned paper, did lots of punching and used my new markers on the stamp!!!

******************
HOOT: Kennedy loves to ham it up for the camera! Can you tell?
I used the Black Magic cardstock for the border and sanded it down to show some yellow. I also flipped it over and used the plain side as well! I just adore this teeny owl stamp, don't you? And you can't go wrong with this funky circle paper from MLS!

*************

MUDPIE: Kennedy and her friend Taylor. Playdate in the mud!!!! Both these girls love dirt, bugs and mud so they can be trouble when they get together!!!

*****************
WHOO IS SO CUTE?
I have used this photo before, but just had to scrap it again! It is from last summer - but I so adore her smile! Not to mention her swimsuit matches this paper line perfectly! (you scrappers know what I am talking about!!!!)

Hope you enjoyed checking out the owls!!!!!!! I am busy creating so check back soon for more creations!!!!!!!

Randomness on a Saturday Night!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekends! We just got home from a BBQ with my Bible study gals and their families - had such fun!

Just hoping on quickly to post a few photos of recent projects!!!

Today we revealed the cards and tags from sketch #60 over at Triple the Sketch! Here is mine!

And I will be slowly sharing my Kraft Girl kit projects with the June kit! It has such fun, bright, summery colors and designs!!!!

On this layout I wanted a quilt-like feel. I cut out lots of squares and sewed them all on ! Lots of sewing but a fun look I think!!! I punched some circles out of the patterned paper with my Martha Stewart mini scallop punch - I am loving that thing! The journaling went right on the photo. Gotta love colored Sharpies!

I have lots more to share so check back in often! And enjoy your first June weekend!!!!

Triple the Sketch

Happy Saturday everyone!

It is Saturday so that means the cards and projects were posted over at Triple the Sketch with our latest sketch! I forgot to post last week's project! It is my dad, Kennedy and her cousin, Eva. My dad just can't get enough of his 2 little granddaughters!!!!!

I LOVED this week's sketch and think you all will too!!! I rotated the sketch for a little girl card.....

In scrappy news I have an article coming up in the July issue of Scrapbooking.com. This is my first time working with them and I was honored to have them approach me!

SU Ink!!!!!

Hi everyone! Happy Saturday! I hope Spring has arrived wherever you are! And Happy Mother's Day weekend to you moms out there!

This is my first post using SU Ink products!!!!! AND it was my first day to post on the SU Ink blog! You can see it here - along with more Sneak Peeks from the other designers!

On this card I used a super funky die cut from the My Little Shoebox paper line - so fun! I used the Core'dinations whitewash paper to create the elephant - I sanded the paper down a lot! For me, there is just something about getting dirty and making a mess while I scrapbook that makes me happy! The little elephant stamp and sentiment are from the Welcome to the Zoo set.

My scrapbook page features more yummy My Little Shoebox papers and die cuts! I thought the bright colors worked perfectly with these photos or my daughter at the playground!
I again used the Core'dinations whitewash paper - this time in blue! I had fun playing around with the amount of sanding I did to get just the right hue of blue. And that adorable jump roping girl is from the Let's Play stamp set.

Finally, I altered some baby hangers. It was a blast! I think they will make a wonderful little baby gift! More Core'dinations whitewash paper and My Little Shoebox patterend paper.
